Considering the economic impracticality of limiting the operation of solar power plants, Ukraine plans to resume electricity exports to neighboring countries starting on August 25.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.

An auction for access to interstate connections in the directions of Romania, Hungary, and Moldova will be held tomorrow. This will help avoid restrictions for Ukrainian electricity producers.

The company noted that exports will occur exclusively during periods of surplus, specifically when solar power plants are actively generating electricity. During periods of peak consumption, when there is insufficient capacity in the energy system, electricity exports from Ukraine will not take place.

Ukrenergo also highlighted that temperatures in Ukraine have started to drop since yesterday, leading to a significant reduction in consumption by Friday morning. Additionally, one of the nuclear power plant units has returned to operation after a scheduled repair.
