Ukraine will test anti-aircraft missiles from the Estonian defense company Frankenburg Technologies. The first samples for testing will arrive in the coming months.
This was discussed during a meeting in Kyiv between Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko and the company's management.
The missiles, which Ukraine will test, are primarily designed to counter drones and are capable of hitting targets at heights of up to 2 km.
“Our goal is to help Ukraine win this war. To do this, we offer a new, affordable missile model for downing aerial targets, primarily drones,” said Kusti Salm, Executive Director of Frankenburg Technologies.
He added that, if the tests are successful and further use is agreed upon, missile production could be organized in Ukraine.
The parties have preliminarily agreed that the next step could involve agreeing on a financing format for the missile production.
Deputy Minister of Defense Anatolii Klochko emphasized that it is extremely important for Ukraine to have as wide a missile arsenal as possible to repel Russian aggression.
He urged foreign manufacturers of such weapons to provide them to Ukraine and test them in combat conditions.
“We are open to cooperation and ready to use various modern weapon samples,” said the Deputy Minister.
