The Counterintelligence of the Security Service has detained another participant of the FSB agent network, which was exposed earlier this year.

At that time, five Russian agents were detained in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Among them were an engineer from a defense plant and a municipal official in Donetsk region who were tracking the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the frontline areas. Currently, the sixth participant has been detained. The offender attempted to identify military airfields and locations of Ukrainian air defense systems near Kryvyi Rih. She also tracked the flight routes of the Ukrainian Air Force.

In case of identifying "necessary" objects, the offender was supposed to record their locations on electronic maps and report to the FSB. The aggressor planned to use the received intelligence to prepare air strikes on "targets" using missile weapons and Shahed kamikaze drones.

However, the Security Service timely exposed the Russian agent, documented her criminal actions, and detained her.

According to the investigation, the offender is a local resident, an ideological supporter of Russia. In October 2023, the woman came under the scrutiny of the FSB through her friend - another participant of the hostile group, who is currently in custody. To monitor the combat aviation and air defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the traitor went to the field. She also attempted to identify and covertly record military infrastructure. Communication was maintained via messenger with a personnel employee of the FSB. His identity has already been established by the Security Service.

During the searches at the offender's residence, a mobile phone with evidence of her correspondence with the aggressor was seized.

Currently, the investigators of the Security Service have informed the detainee of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under conditions of martial law).

The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment.
