On the night of September 5 (starting from 18:00 on September 4), the Russian forces attacked with 157 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), as well as with six S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles from the Kursk region (Russia) and a Kh-59 guided air missile from the Voronezh region (Russia).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 121 Shahed-type UAVs and various types of decoy drones in the north and east of the country.
Strikes from seven missiles and 35 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations. One more UAV remains in the air.
