The Head of the Office of the President, together with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, began his visit to the United States with a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Andriy Yermak thanked the United States for its continued support of Ukraine and assistance to our people.

"Your help with weapons and ammunition will strengthen our warriors on the battlefield and help our country fight against Russian aggression," Andriy Yermak said.

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the results of the inaugural Peace Summit, concrete steps to implement the points of the Peace Formula in the coming weeks and months, and joint work to establish a just peace in Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to the preparations for the NATO Summit, which will be held next week in Washington, D.C., with a focus on the documents to be concluded.

Olha Stefanishyna highlighted Ukraine's expectations from the NATO Summit. During the meeting, the participants discussed Ukraine's progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration and assured financial support for strengthening our country's defense capabilities at the Alliance level.

Rustem Umerov gave detailed information on the need to provide our Defense Forces with additional air defense systems to protect Ukrainian cities, communities, and critical infrastructure facilities.

German Galushchenko described the consequences of Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The participants discussed the state of our energy system and the joint decisions to be made with partner states that will help secure energy facilities before the beginning of the heating season.

The Head of the Presidential Office particularly stressed the importance of introducing sectoral sanctions against banking and financial institutions of the aggressor country.
