The communication node of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, destroyed in Sevastopol on March 23, was a crucial element in military command and control.

This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during the broadcast of the United News telethon.

"Any losses, especially sensitive ones like communication, always affect the ability to manage troops. In any war, this is one of the main factors that can contribute to the positive outcome of combat operations. If you have many units, for example, you won't see victories if you can't control them," explained Pletenchuk.

As reported, on March 23, about ten explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Sevastopol. Media reported "arrivals" of Storm Shadow cruise missiles at the main communication center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

In the morning of March 24, the Strategic Communications Department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces informed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had struck Russian large landing ships "Yamal" and "Azov," the communication center, and several infrastructure objects of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Sevastopol.
