The startup Healthy Mind, founded in 2023, exited "stealth mode" in December 2024 and began beta testing its platform. The platform offers insights into users' mental well-being based on over 75 indicators. Healthy Mind has already raised $1 million in investment, with its largest and only public investor being the IT company Roosh.
The startup was founded by former top executives of Naftogaz: Marina Kvasnina, former Director of IT and Head of Naftogaz Digital Technologies, and Andriy Kobolyev, former CEO of Naftogaz Ukraine. The CEO of Healthy Mind is Maksym Rabinovych, who previously managed Gas Supply Company LLC for two and a half years.
Kobolyev explained the motivation behind the startup:
"The main reason I started this direction is the immense societal need. According to WHO, almost 10 million Ukrainians are facing mental health issues due to the war. Statistics from all military conflicts I've studied show that mental health is a major issue during any war," he told Forbes.
Healthy Mind allows users to diagnose mental health disorders in 15-18 minutes. Future versions will include an AI assistant for psychologists and a user AI helper.
Kobolyev noted that the product is based on a diagnostic system capable of identifying about 80% of mental health disorders listed in the DSM-5, a catalog of mental health conditions widely used in the U.S. This system is scientifically grounded, providing objective insights into disorders, their severity, and treatment options.
The project team currently consists of 17 professionals, including scientific experts who have formed an international psychological board to adapt and develop surveys and therapy protocols, ensuring the platform adheres to international psychological care standards.
Healthy Mind has secured $1 million in investment over the past 18 months and plans to raise another million in 2025 to expand the platform’s AI capabilities and make mental health support accessible to millions of Ukrainians. The team is also preparing for international expansion, initially focusing on the Ukrainian market. For corporate clients, the platform aims to improve employee mental health. A full product launch is planned for next year.
