Ukrainian startup Swarmer, specializing in autonomous drone swarm management, has secured a grant of 2 million UAH and support from Brave1.
This funding will accelerate the scaling of STYX.AI to handle hundreds of drones simultaneously, paving the way for multi-tiered drone operations across different platforms, according to Swarmer.
STYX.AI is a multi-level drone swarm management system that enables a single operator to control the behavior of a swarm of drones from various manufacturers, considering the mission specifics. This capability has been refined through over 8,000 missions.
The system predicts and coordinates swarm behavior in a simulated environment and ensures autonomous mission execution in various environments, including in electronic warfare conditions, say the developers.
“They not only provide us with state-of-the-art test ranges for our system but also connect us with leading industry experts, investors, opportunities for joint projects, and suppliers both in Ukraine and abroad,” said Swarmer CEO Serhiy Kuprienko about the support from Brave1.
According to the CEO, cluster support allows participation in military technology events, including this year's conferences in Warsaw and Krakow, the Danish-Ukrainian Defence Seminar, the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) event, and future events like the International Defense Technology Investment Summit.
“The network associated with Brave1 enables Swarmer to establish connections with global investors, UAV manufacturers, and end-users, fostering further innovations and strategic partnerships,” the company concludes.
Swarmer was founded in 2023 by Serhiy Kuprienko and Alex Fink. Last November, the startup secured investments from the D3 fund and accelerator. While specific details were not disclosed, it is known that the standard check from D3 within the accelerator is $125,000.
