Ukrainian Victoria Yakusha has entered the list of the most influential women in architecture and design for the first time, according to Dezeen.

Victoria Yakusha founded the architectural studio Yakusha Design and the furniture brand Faina. In 2021, she opened Yakusha Gallery in Antwerp, which aims to showcase contemporary Ukrainian design.

The architect works in the style of living minimalism and contemporary primitivism, which became one of the trends of 2020 according to Dezeen. She also served as a jury member for the Dezeen Awards 2020.

Following the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the architect created a residence in honor of Maria Primachenko in the village of Bolotnya and a furniture collection called "Stepping on Ukrainian Soil," dedicated to Ukraine, as reported by Dezeen.

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Yakusha has created a number of projects to draw attention to the conflict, including a cultural complex designed to house artefacts saved from the war and a furniture collection created in homage to Ukraine.
