Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine, ex-deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun, suggests that the Russian Federation can tell the world that if the Ukrainian military enters the temporarily occupied Crimea, then the nuclear weapons located there will be undermined or eliminated.
On the air of the Espresso TV channel, Yagun explained that there really is an opinion that, against the background of statements about the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, the enemy can place them in the occupied Crimea.
"And in this way (Russia can) put the world before the fact that if Ukrainians enter the peninsula, these weapons will be blown up or destroyed. That is, if Crimea is not ours, then it is nobody's. And this is the biggest danger I foresee today," he added.
At the same time, Yagun emphasized that the rest of the statements of the Russian Federation about "red lines" or emergency cases are a bluff.
