Volunteers hailing from Rivne have taken the initiative to establish a production line dedicated to crafting a variety of models intended for use by the Ukrainian military.

According to statements from the organization Apate, a notable proportion of initial orders prioritize the creation of models replicating the 120mm mortar, which is in high demand among military personnel.

The dedication of these volunteers has not gone unnoticed, with hundreds of requests pouring in from diverse units within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, seeking these meticulously crafted models to aid in training and operational planning.

Among the offerings in Apate's model catalog are detailed replicas of 82mm automatic mortars, known as 2B9 'Vasilek,' as well as advanced Starlink terminals and sophisticated American Sentinel radars, providing military personnel with invaluable training tools and resources for strategic analysis.

Volunteers explain that there will be the capability to adjust the Starlink dish in the required direction. The dish is white and can be camouflaged if necessary.

"The models correspond to 90-100% of the dimensions of real equipment and weapons," the volunteers added.

They are made of wood, metal, and plastic. Unlike inflatable models, they do not change their shape and size depending on weather conditions.

The 120mm mortar model can be used to provide camouflage for military equipment and to deceive the enemy in combat conditions.

"Our goal is to provide each brigade, each unit with at least one battery of models. Units should spend their maximum ammunition budget on Apate," Rivne volunteers explained.

The models are necessary for creating ground-based false combat positions and deployment areas.

This allows for deception aimed at exposing the enemy, counter-battery operations, depletion of weapons and ammunition stocks, and provision of the enemy. It also facilitates the imitation of the concentration of combat equipment and the alteration of the enemy's plans.
