Star Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh has been nominated once again for the prestigious title of Europe’s Female Athlete of the Year, European Athletics announced.
This season, Mahuchikh claimed bronze at the World Championships, silver in the Diamond League final, and secured the European indoor championship title.
She will compete for the award alongside Nadja Battocletti (Italy), Femke Bol (Netherlands), Georgia Hunter-Bell (Great Britain), Ditažji Kambundji (Switzerland), Kate O’Connor (Ireland), María Pérez (Spain), Jessica Schilder (Netherlands), Tina Šutej (Slovenia), and Yorinde van Klinken (Netherlands).
The winner will be revealed on October 25, with voting open online.
Mahuchikh was last year’s winner, narrowly edging out Femke Bol and Britain’s Keely Hodgkinson in the final vote.
