On November 8, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude for consistent Italian support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as comprehensive assistance provided by Italy since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against our state. The Ambassador Pier Francesco Zazo reaffirmed Italy's willingness to further support our country in countering Russia’s ongoing aggression.
Deputy Foreign Minister thanked for the equipment given by the Italian companies to restore energy infrastructure of Ukraine severely affected by the russian attacks and pointed out the need for additional assistance from our partners to provide uninterrupted energy supply. Yevhen Perebyinis also expressed his hope that Italy would actively participate in the projects of the recovery of Ukraine.
The parties exchanged views on deepening Ukrainian-Italian political dialogue, particularly at the highest level, and supporting our state’s course towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
