The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny, together with King Charles III, visited the Trauma Research Center at Imperial College London to familiarize himself with the British experience in treating combat injuries.

The diplomat shared this on Telegram.

"I had the honor of accompanying His Majesty the King during his visit to the Trauma Research Center at Imperial College London. In conversations with British researchers and doctors, we discussed medicine, the latest studies, and the rehabilitation of the wounded. We talked about how the United Kingdom is using its experience in treating combat injuries gained in Afghanistan and Iraq to help Ukraine. But there was something more," Zaluzhnyi wrote.

He added that he saw not only the willingness to help but also the readiness to learn, including from Ukrainians.

"Over these years of war, Ukrainian doctors, paramedics, and military medics have gained unique experience, which is becoming important not only for us but for the entire world. Ukraine, which is forced to save lives daily under extraordinary conditions, has become a laboratory for advanced medicine. We do not only take—we also give, sharing knowledge on tactical medicine, evacuation organization, the treatment of blast injuries, and the rehabilitation of amputees," Zaluzhnyi stated.

The diplomat noted that during this meeting, he saw "knowledge, compassion, and solidarity" that give Ukraine the strength to endure.

Zaluzhnyi expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King and all British friends for their support.

"Together, we are not only fighting for freedom—we are shaping a future where life prevails," the Ukrainian ambassador emphasized.
