The collective stand of Ukrainian Design Brands will showcase the new collections of Ukrainian manufacturers during one of the largest professional exhibitions, Maison et Objet.

For three decades, the Paris Salon has been gathering thousands of participants and tens of thousands of visitors from America, Britain, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia twice a year in its pavilions. The theme of this jubilee year is the technologies of the future, harmoniously coexisting with nature and reflected in futuristic architectural interiors, decor of futuristic forms, and a palette of new shades.

Alongside globally recognized brands at the Paris Salon, taking place from January 18 to 22, 2024, visitors will also be introduced to new names in Ukrainian design. For the sixth year, the collective stand of Ukrainian Design Brands presents the most interesting objects of contemporary Ukrainian design at the exhibition.

"I fell in love with Ukrainian design through the 'Maidan' project, the organizer of the Ukrainian Design Brands collective stands, when I discovered the collection of black smoked ceramics by Danuta Kril. Thanks to Maison et Objet, we have the opportunity to get acquainted with bold, diverse propositions from Ukrainian designers with very modern explorations, modernized craftsmanship approaches, allowing us to feel Ukrainian culture," commented trendsetter, scenographer, curator, and founder of Bureau de Style Elizabeth Leriche, who this year also joined the selection of Ukrainian brands.

The collective stand of Ukrainian Design Brands is a crucial initiative, as many companies are forced to relocate their production. Despite challenging conditions, they remain reliable partners for clients worldwide, continuing to export their products and create new collections.

During Maison et Objet, eight Ukrainian brands will present their new collections at this year's exhibition in Paris, which will be appreciated by an international audience. Among them:

DONNA specializes in creating original interior items in collaboration with renowned Ukrainian designers. One of the objects the brand will present in Paris is the Raft Sofa.

FURN OBJECT offers eccentric yet comfortable interior items. In an era where most people prefer practical and utilitarian items, the brand encourages the search for something special: aesthetic and, at the same time, comfortable.

WOO is a furniture design company that has been creating and crafting sleek sculptural forms and playful objects for seven years.

kint. The brand designs functional furniture and decor that enhances people's comfort. The team embodies the concept of additional functionality through the modularity of elements, combining items to create new functions and save space.

dobro is a designer furniture brand where the creation of each product involves solving specific problems and multifunctionality. Their new collection of metal outdoor furniture, "BUBBLES," to be presented in Paris, consists of three types of benches and chairs that users can combine into various groupings based on their preferences.

RUDA Studio creates interior items inspired by natural materials and ancient straw marquetry techniques. The brand's collection of lighting fixtures, "ROOTS OF HOME," was created during the onset of a major conflict when many Ukrainians lost their homes and had to rebuild their lives in temporary shelters. One of the fixtures is reminiscent of an ancient Ukrainian house, featuring an lampshade that reflects a roof with straw or shingle terracing using the "tyruvannia" technique. Tyruvannia is extracted in the Carpathians, imparting a black color to the wooden roof panels due to its high paraffin content.

TAKE SOME ROPE is a tapestry art studio founded by textile artist Yulia Tishchenko. Her works are emotions embodied in contemporary tapestries using various textile techniques, including hand weaving, macramé elements, knitting, crochet, felting, and more.

llab.design is a furniture and decor brand specializing in natural stone. At the Paris exhibition, llab.design will showcase its DUALITY and EDGE collections, invoking new emotions through the dramatic contrast between the raw energy of the material and the concept of delicate forms with intricate carved details, all crafted in natural stone.
