A 30-meter flag of Ukraine was raised along the Potemkin Stairs of Odessa

A 30-meter banner was unfolded on the Potemkin Stairs in honour of the Flag Day. The number 30 symbolizes the age of modern independent Ukraine.

About a hundred residents of Odessa and cadets took part in the action. The participants were greeted by the orchestra of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Raising the flag along the Potemkin Stairs has already become a long-term tradition initiated by the annual Vyshyvanka Festival. Every year the flag becomes 1 meter longer, symbolizing the next year of Ukraine’s independence.
