The company BAE Systems has officially agreed to service and repair howitzers in Ukraine, which were previously transferred by Britain to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported on the British government's webpage.
According to the government page, during a trade mission to Kyiv, the British defense company BAE Systems entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom.
It concerns the technical servicing and repair of the provided L119 howitzers in Ukraine.
"This means L119s which were donated by the UK to Ukraine can be serviced in country and returned to the frontline quicker and provides vital support for Ukraine’s defence infrastructure," the British government stated.

The 105mm towed howitzer is designed to support infantry, airborne troops, and assault groups.
105mm howitzers are capable of effectively destroying lightly armored vehicles. For example, a 105mm shell explosion near an BMP-1/2 can cause serious damage to the hull from shell fragments, in some cases resulting in the complete destruction of the vehicle.
A direct hit almost always leads to complete destruction. Additionally, howitzers are highly effective against Russian fortifications and concentrations of Russian forces.
