The startup Trypillian was founded in 2024 by veterans and military experts from Ukraine and the United Kingdom. It specializes in developing combat technologies tested in wartime conditions, including deep strike systems, combat communication tools, and autonomous solutions that reduce risks for fighters and increase frontline efficiency.

The company has offices in London and Kyiv, and its Ukrainian team is almost entirely composed of veterans. Trypillian is led by co-founder and CEO Ivan Matveichenko, a participant in the battles for Bakhmut and Soledar.

“Most of us have seen the war, so we work together to make things that protect Ukraine and save lives doing so,” said Ivan Matveichenko.

Brooks Newmark, who invested in Trypillian, is a former British Minister for Civil Society and ex-member of Parliament, who has supported Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion through the humanitarian initiative Angels for Ukraine.

“Ukraine doesn’t need empty promises. It needs long-term, committed partners. And firms, like Trypillian, are an important part of not only Ukraine’s future, but the world’s,” emphasized Brooks Newmark.
