At the Chornotysiv Terminal in Zakarpattia region, the range of services has been expanded, gradually increasing cargo turnover. Now, the terminal not only loads grain carriers but also handles agricultural products in 20-foot containers, according to the terminal director, Hordii Mishchenko, in an interview with Elevatorist.com.

According to Mishchenko, the terminal has already handled soybean shipments in containers for a consignor. The grain is being shipped to Pakistan in 20-foot containers.

Currently, the terminal has also started working with 40-foot containers.

“The ability to work with 40-foot containers will allow handling soybean meal as well. Typically, it is loaded in such containers,” Mishchenko said.

The director also noted that the terminal is preparing for accreditation according to European ISCC standards.

“We are undergoing certification for rapeseed and oilseed operations with Europe. ISCC relates to work with GMO and non-GMO rapeseed, which can be used for biofuel. These are buyer requirements to have certified elevators, terminals, and certified farms producing the crops. We are preparing for the 2025/26 season, starting with rapeseed and then moving to other crops,” added the director of the Chornotysiv terminal.
