The Ukrainian company Buntar Aerospace has developed the vertical takeoff and landing reconnaissance drone Buntar-1.
This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The drone's testing was made with the help of the Brave1 defense technology cluster.
The drone is designed for real-time reconnaissance, targeting, adjusting, and fixing various strike systems, including artillery and rocket artillery.
It is reported that one of the developers of the drone is a member of the Security and Defense Forces, which means that Buntar-1 was developed based on real needs observed at the front. The developers claim that a key feature of the drone is its reliable communication system, which can operate in conditions of electronic warfare countermeasures.
In addition, Buntar Aerospace integrated its own software into the drone, which automates the external crew's work and enhances situational awareness.
During trials in the Kharkiv region, aerial reconnaissance operators noted stable communication and high-quality video transmission without delays.
An experienced crew can master the Buntar-1 in three days, while training from scratch may take about three weeks.
The operational range of the Buntar-1 is approximately 50 kilometers. In the new version of the drone, called Buntar-3, the developers plan to extend the flight time to three hours.
