On the night of December 11 (from 7:00 PM on December 10), the Rusian forces carried out a combined strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure using strike drones and ground-launched missiles.
In total, Ukraine’s Air Force radar troops detected and tracked 154 aerial attack assets, including:
- 3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Kursk region, Russia);
- 151 strike drones of the Shahed and Gerbera types (about 120 of them Shaheds) from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Hvardijske, Chauda – occupied Crimea.
The main target of the strike was Kremenchuk in Poltava region. Odessa region and frontline territories were also attacked.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:00 AM, air defense systems shot down/suppressed 85 aerial targets:
- 83 drones of Shahed and Gerbera types (and other drones);
- 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles.
There were confirmed hits by 69 strike drones and one Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile at 34 locations.
