On the night of December 17 (from 18:00 on December 16), the Russian forces attacked with 69 strike UAVs, including Shahed- and Gerbera-type drones and other types, launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, and Hvardiiske in the occupied territory of Crimea. About 40 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 37 UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other drones, in the north, south, and east of the country.
Impacts by 29 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations.
