During the night of 17 November (starting at 20:00 on 16 November), the Russian forces launched an attack using two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Russia’s Rostov region and 128 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). Around 80 of them were Shaheds.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, air-defense missile units, electronic-warfare and unmanned-systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 91 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
There were confirmed impacts from 32 attack UAVs at 15 locations, as well as two ballistic missiles at two locations.
