Russian forces launched a nighttime attack on Ukraine using guided missiles S-300 and 13 "Shahed" drones. The air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed all the attacking drones.

This information was reported by the Telegram channel of Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.

Oleshchuk announced that the drones and missiles were launched from the Belgorod region.

"On the night of May 4, 2024, the enemy attacked with 13 Shahed-131/136 strike drones and four guided missiles S-300. All launches were conducted from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation," the commander reported.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force commander, all 13 drones were shot down by defenders in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"As a result of the combat operations by air defense missile units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 13 strike drones were destroyed in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions," Oleshchuk said.
