The number of people injured as a result of Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv on Tuesday has risen to 22, with three dead. This was reported by Oleg Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
"As of now, we have 22 injured," the message stated.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov spoke about the aftermath of the Russian airstrike on a residential building.
"A residential building in a suburban area. And they'll say it's a 'military target,'" Terekhov remarked.
According to the mayor, the building that was hit by the airstrike had been under fire in 2022, and repairs were almost complete.
"The building in Kyiv District, which was hit, had already been shelled at the beginning of the war. It was almost fully repaired, with windows installed, insulation completed, and preparations for the heating season underway. The enemy hit it again with a guided bomb (KAB)," the mayor wrote.
As of 4:15 PM, the death toll has increased to three people, and the search through the rubble continues, as reported earlier by the head of the regional administration.
After 3:20 PM on Tuesday, September 24, three series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv. The guided bombs hit civilian infrastructure, including a residential high-rise. The death toll is now at three, and the debris is still being cleared.
