Everyone drew attention to the increase in the number of eliminated Russian soldiers in recent days in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The fact is that now in combat zone, 2 factors have been formed that affect such an increase in losses among the armed forces of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kovalenko believes.
"The first is the entry into direct contact of units that are replenished at the expense of partially mobilized ones. For example, the 423rd Guards Yampolsky Motor Rifle Regiment is a solid set of mobilized. The 57th Motorized Rifle Brigade has more than 60% of the mobilized there. And so on."
Absolutely unprepared, and understaffed with equipment and officers, the units are now standing against the motivated Armed Forces of Ukraine and the result of this confrontation is reflected in the numbers.
"The second factor is that quantity is not only not always quality, but also the issue of safe placement. For example, by concentrating a large number of troops in one small location, you make them more vulnerable."
"For example, about 25 battalion tactical groups are now concentrated on the right bank of the Kherson region. Still, such a density leads to, let's say, tightness on the bridgehead and the enemy's vulnerability to the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, increasing losses."
