Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already publicly announced records of Russian forces' usage - more than 3,200. But, Russians are also setting records in the use of FPV drones.
In the incomplete month of May, over 5,500 FPV drones were recorded in use! This is the highest figure for the entire period of full-scale war.
The average usage rate of FPV drones by Russian forces is approaching 250 per day.
At the beginning of the month, there were periodic spikes, with more than 350, for example, on May 2nd, and more than 550 (!!!) on May 3rd. But overall, the average rate remains at around 250, which is still too high.
Not long ago, the average usage rate of FPV drones by Russian forces did not exceed 150 per day.
The trend is highly negative, indicating Russia's ability to increase production and procurement of this equipment, which in turn raises questions about the use of electronic warfare systems in the conflict zone more and more each day. By the second half of 2024, Russia may emerge as a leader in the number of FPV drone applications, and by the end of the year, the average usage rate of these Russian forces' tools could reach a stable level of 400-500 units."
