Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Defense codified and authorized for use in the Ukrainian Defense Forces almost 30 samples of automotive and motorcycle equipment designed for movement in difficult terrain and off-road conditions.
This includes ATVs, buggies, amphibious vehicles, and more. Among the codified items last year are products from European, American, Asian, and Ukrainian manufacturers.
‘The use of this segment of transportation allows our soldiers to perform a wide range of tasks on the front line. This includes logistics support, evacuation of the wounded, rapid movement of personnel and cargo in areas where it is not possible to use regular trucks or cars,’ said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klymenkov.
Among the vehicles authorized for use last year are those with electric engines. In particular, the Ukrainian electric motorcycle ‘Atom Military’ is used at the front not only as a stealthy, silent means of transportation but also as a mobile power source. The domestic electric motorcycle has the ability to recharge other electrical devices from its own battery.
