The adviser said that Russian elites would rally after Putin's death. Revanchist sentiments will take up in the Russian Federation, and the country will turn into a kind of North Korea.

Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Aleksey Arestovich said that after the death of President Vladimir Putin in Russia, more radical forces might come to power. They will start a new war against Ukraine and the West, taking into account all the mistakes that were made in the current war. Arestovich stated this during a conversation with Russian journalist Yulia Latynina.

According to the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Putin will be replaced by a conglomerate of "Prigozhins and Kadyrovs" and oligarchs who can negotiate with the regime. The new reality of Russia will be very similar to North Korea.

“It will be worse than with Putin. Because revanchist tendencies will prevail, and Russia will begin to actively prepare for the second round against Ukraine and the West, taking into account all the mistakes.

They will let the ultra patriots in as a passionate part of society, and they will give an opportunity to those who are thinking to work on their mistakes," Arestovich said.

According to him, it depends on Ukraine whether it can build an inspiring post-war future, reconstruct and prepare for a second, almost inevitable war. Arestovich doubts very much about the collapse of Russia.

“It seems to me that this is a very exaggerated story. On the contrary, the elites will close together against the backdrop of the threat of collapse, against the background of the desire to recoup for the defeat,” said the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In his opinion, this is a matter of survival for the Russian elites. They will be able to share everything with the help of force. The same method to deal with the liberal-minded forces.

"A sledgehammer - and divided," Arestovich said.

He said the Russian people, who also want to survive, will support the radicals. The Russians already think that the current war was started in vain, but it cannot be lost.

"If we have already begun, then we cannot lose. This is great Russia!" Arestovich noted.
