As part of the Peace Summit in Switzerland, a discussion panel titled "Humanitarian Dimension: Release of Prisoners and Deported Persons" took place. Ukrainian representatives informed attendees about the war crimes committed against Ukrainians by Russian forces.

According to the Office of the President, the event was moderated by Daria Zarivna, senior advisor to the head of the Office of the President. She emphasized that the mass abduction of Ukrainian children and the system of brutal torture of prisoners by Russian forces are manifestations of Russian imperialism and clear signs of genocide.

Three Ukrainians shared their experiences of suffering due to Russian aggression. Two had endured torture while in captivity, and the third had lost his wife and four-month-old son.

Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin highlighted that law enforcement has documented nearly 130,000 cases of war crimes committed by Russian occupiers, including 301 cases of sexual violence. Russian forces have killed over 12,000 civilians, including 551 children. These are just the confirmed figures.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, stated that all individuals held in Russian captivity are subjected to systematic torture, with at least 14,000 confirmed cases.

It is worth noting that, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General, up to 90% of Ukrainian prisoners in Russia suffer from various forms of torture, inhumane treatment, and violence.
