The Russian army command is withdrawing certain air defense missile units from temporarily occupied Crimea deeper into Russia due to constant drone attacks from Ukraine.
This was reported by the partisan movement ATESH on Telegram.
According to an ATESH agent within the Russian Armed Forces, this decision is driven not only by Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes on oil depots and military infrastructure but also by public pressure in Russia.
Some air defense systems, including installations from the 31st Air Defense Division, are already being redeployed from the peninsula to new positions.
The occupiers understand that this move creates critical gaps in Crimea’s defense, but they have no other choice. As a result, airfields, military depots, and the Kerch Bridge remain vulnerable, ATESH emphasized.
Long-range Ukrainian drone strikes have proven that the Kremlin regime is unable to protect military targets in Russia’s Belgorod, Kursk, and Voronezh regions, among others. Moscow is being forced to take risks, as the loss of oil depots and logistical hubs in Russia has already reached a critical point.
"Putin’s regime may soon lose its ability to effectively supply its forces with fuel, which will inevitably impact their combat capability on the front line. This result was made possible not only by Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes but also by our movement’s active efforts. Our agents have played a key role in weakening the occupying forces, and this is just the beginning. We know the enemy is weak, and now they are creating the perfect conditions for their own defeat," ATESH stated.
