At the international startup conference Latitude59 held in Tallinn, the victory was shared by three companies — Estonian MarkeDroid, Latvian Adventum, and Lithuanian Luna Robotics. Ukrainian startups made it to the top 32 but unfortunately did not advance to the final.
Syndicated investments are provided by business angels from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Each national business angel network — EstBAN, LatBAN, and LitBAN — will take the lead in supporting one startup and managing the investment.
Thus, the defense technology startup Luna Robotics will receive an investment of up to €250,000 led by LitBAN.
The construction startup Adventum Tech will be supported by a syndicate led by LatBAN, contributing €250,000.
The green energy solutions developer MarkeDroid secured support from a business angel syndicate led by EstBAN with an investment of €175,000.
Three Ukrainian startups reached the pre-final of Latitude59 but did not make it to the final. They are:
- Apix Med — identifies genetic markers related to drug metabolism and treatment response to select the most effective therapy for each patient.
- HIMERA — develops the most advanced tactical communication system for modern battlefields with electronic warfare (EW).
- Mahaon — a mobile app that uses artificial intelligence to turn children’s questions into short animated video answers.
Latitude59 was held for the 13th time in the Estonian capital. Over 3,500 participants attended, including more than 900 startups and 20 national delegations. Nearly 700 investors took part this year. Participants from more than 70 countries around the world were present.
