A Barbie doll dedicated to fencer Olga Kharlan, who refused to shake hands with a Russian opponent after a match, has been placed on a charity auction.
Mattel released the doll honoring fencer Kharlan in 2020. She became the first Ukrainian to have a doll dedicated to her in the Role Models series.
The auction was launched on the eBay platform in collaboration with the Ukrainian sports resource "Tribuna."
The proceeds from the sale will go towards the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers at the "Bodro" clinic.
The doll is priced at $10,000. The auction will run until the evening of August 30.
