In Ukraine, the Belarusian Center for National Memory has been established, as announced by Alexei Frantskevich, the head of the Charitable Foundation "Free Belarus."
This civic organization will collaborate with the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory and Ukrainian universities.
Frantskevich stated, "This is an association of pro-Ukrainian Belarusian forces. We have created the center to preserve the memory of Belarusian heroes who, since 2014, side by side with Ukrainian soldiers, have been defending the entire civilized world from the Russian Empire. We need to preserve the memory of those Belarusians who gave their lives for the European choice and values. This memory must be preserved for future generations."
The Belarusian Center for National Memory in Ukraine, established under the "Free Belarus" foundation, will engage in educational activities, scientific research, and humanitarian efforts.
It will particularly focus on disseminating information about Belarusian volunteers who are currently fighting in Ukraine against Russia, Belarusian participants in the Revolution of Dignity, and raising awareness about the crimes committed by Lukashenko's regime in Belarus. Additionally, the center will provide assistance to the families of Belarusian volunteer soldiers and those who have faced repression, as well as organize exhibitions.
