U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy to discuss the need to enhance military support for Ukraine.
According to a press release from the U.S. Department of State, Blinken and Lammy emphasized the importance of increasing security assistance to Ukraine, particularly in light of Russia’s outreach to North Korea for military reinforcements to sustain its war efforts in Ukraine.
They also addressed the situation in Syria, focusing on the principles guiding the U.S. and regional countries during the transitional process and the formation of a new government. Blinken reaffirmed U.S. support for a new Syrian government.
Notably, reports since October have confirmed the deployment of North Korean soldiers to Russia, where they have been stationed in the Kursk region amid ongoing combat operations.
