In the western part of the border there is an increase in attempts to violate the state border

Offenders try to cross the border every day on the basis of false documents - forged certificates, invalid or foreign passports. And there are those who "pack themselves" in personal belongings, try to bribe border guards, or check the vigilance of border guards at the "green" border.

Dozens of attempts to cross the border illegally were stopped at the Mukachevo detachment last night alone, as a result of which 53 people were detained. 20 citizens provided invalid documents at checkpoints. Another 16 citizens of Ukraine stormed the Ukrainian-Hungarian section of the "green" border. Their border guards detained the Bodalovo branch in cooperation with the police during the implementation of information received from operatives of the Mukachevo detachment.

Another 17 men were detained by border guards of the Kosino, Tyachiv, Dilove and Dyakove departments while patrolling the state border outside the checkpoints.

All detainees were charged with administrative offenses and cases were sent to court. As for citizens who knowingly used forged documents and certificates, the border guards sent the relevant reports on the detection of signs of crimes to the competent law enforcement agencies, which will establish a measure of responsibility.
