During its operation, Brave1 allocated $3,045,000 to developers creating defense innovations. The defense technology cluster financed 173 grants, as reported by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

"These technologies enhance the military, save their lives, and give the Armed Forces advantages on the battlefield," wrote Fedorov.

Brave1 was launched in April 2023 with the goal of accelerating the development of technologies that would assist on the battlefield and enable responses to Russian actions. Anyone can join the cluster, regardless of whether they only have an idea or already have a development prototype.

Brave1 supports developers at all stages, from submitting applications to NATO standards codification and contracting. For the year 2024, the budget for Brave1 grants is set at 1.5 billion hryvnias, and the grant amounts will be increased to $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, and $200,000.
