British Defense Minister Grant Shapps commented on the replacement of Sergei Shoigu as the Russian Defense Minister with Andrey Belousov, calling him another puppet of Vladimir Putin.
Shapps wrote about this on the X social network.
According to the British minister, Shoigu is responsible for the loss of more than 355,000 Russian soldiers in the war and the massive suffering of the civilian population of Ukraine as a result of Russia's illegal invasion.
"Russia needs a Defence Minister who would undo that disastrous legacy & end the invasion - but all they’ll get is another of Putin’s puppets," Shapps emphasized.
