British farmers have donated 38 SUVs for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the charity initiative Pickups for Peace.
This was reported by the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
A volunteer group led by British farmer Mark Lerdon personally delivered the 38 SUVs to Lviv, which were provided by concerned citizens of the United Kingdom.
"In times of war, it is very important to feel the support of international partners. We thank British volunteers for their dedication and courage, which they demonstrate not only in words but also in actions. Above all, we strive for peace, and achieving it requires victory, which is only possible through the unification of efforts," said Khrystyna Zamula, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Administration.
These SUVs will be sent to reinforce the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 150th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and other military formations.
Automotive transport at the front is one of the key elements for transporting troops, evacuating the wounded, and transporting provisions and ammunition.
It should be noted that this is not the first time British farmers have donated their own SUVs as well as those purchased at their own expense for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition to citizens of the United Kingdom, citizens of the United States, the Netherlands, and other countries are also participating in this initiative.
Within the framework of this charity initiative, the military has already received over 400 SUVs that are actively used at the front.
