In the intelligence community of the British Ministry of Defense, attention has been drawn to the increase in the number of civilian casualties in Ukraine in March due to Russian aggression.

This is reported in the daily review of the Ministry of Defense regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The review cites data from the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, according to which in March 2024, 604 civilian individuals were killed or injured, which is 20% more than in the previous month.

"These deaths are attributed to missile and aerial-munitions strikes throughout Ukraine and increased bombardment at the frontlines. The report highlights the increased coordinated strikes on Ukrainian critical infrastructure with 20 destroyed or damaged sites," the British Ministry of Defense review states.

According to reports, 57 children were killed, which is twice as many as the previous month, and this is directly related to the use of Russian aviation munitions.

"In total there have been 31,366 civilian casualties in Ukraine (including Ukrainian-controlled and Russian-controlled territories) since 24 February 2022: 10,810 killed and 20,556 wounded. These figures highlight the tremendous cost of life sustained from Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine," the review says.
