Russia is building shelters for aircraft at airfields located closest to Ukraine. This comes after successful strikes by Ukrainian drones.
This was reported in a statement by British intelligence on social network X.
British intelligence has found that in response to Ukrainian drone attacks, Russia has launched a program to protect vulnerable aircraft at several airfields near the Russian-Ukrainian border.
These include the airfields:
- Millerovo
- Kursk Vostochny
- Hvardiiske
Intelligence clarified that the reinforced shelters for aircraft consist of a domed roof, thick blast-resistant doors, and are covered with earth for additional protection.
“The construction of these hardened aircraft shelters provides an extra level of protection for aircraft deployed at Russian airbases,” British intelligence explained.
