Currently, about 11,000 military personnel from North Korea are training in eastern Russia to begin fighting against Ukraine as early as November.
This was stated by Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Military Intelligence, in an interview with The War Zone, as reported by Ukrinform.
"They (the military from North Korea) will be ready to fight in Ukraine from November 1," he said, adding that about 11,000 soldiers from North Korea are currently training in eastern Russia.
According to Budanov, the North Korean military will use Russian equipment and ammunition.
The first contingent of 2,600 soldiers will head to the Kursk region. Budanov believes that it is currently unclear where the rest of the soldiers from North Korea will go.
"We don’t have the full picture right now," said the head of Ukraine's Military Intelligence.
