Ukraine's Presidential Office Head Kyrylo Budanov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed sentiments within Russia’s elites regarding the prospects of continuing or ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.
"Particular attention was paid to analysing the sentiments within Russian elites regarding the prospects of continuing or ending the war. We discussed how Ukraine’s long-range strikes affect the socio-political mood of Russian society, as well as economic stability and political processes inside the Russian Federation," Budanov wrote .

The sides also discussed finding effective tools to resume the negotiation process aimed at ending the war.
"We conducted a detailed analysis of the current situation on the diplomatic front and coordinated steps that could intensify efforts in this direction," Budanov said.

According to him, Fidan informed the Ukrainian side about Turkey’s mediation initiatives aimed at restoring the negotiation process to achieve lasting peace.
Budanov also thanked Turkey for its consistent support of Ukraine and its readiness to contribute to bringing about a just peace.
