President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had phone calls with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, and Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden. They confirmed their attendance at the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.
Ukrainian Head of State told the leaders about the situation on the frontline and the urgent needs, in particular, bolstering air defense. He thanked the interlocutors for providing defense assistance, supporting the Global Peace Summit and willingness to join efforts to involve as many countries as possible in the event.
According to the President, Canada leads the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. The participation of this country in the Peace Summit is crucial for the reunification of thousands of people with their families.
The conversation with the Prime Minister of Sweden focused on the content of the next defense support package and preparations for the Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.
Zelensky and Frieden discussed the possibility of Luxembourg financing defense assistance for Ukraine.
"We are preparing to enshrine this in a bilateral security agreement," the President noted.
