The Russian forces in the occupied territories are recruiting Ukrainians into the ranks of the PMC Wagner for the war in Africa.
This was reported by Center for National Resistance.
According to reports, the PMC Wagner has begun recruiting men aged 22 to 50 from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The Russian forces promise them a salary of 240,000 rubles if they sign a six-month contract.
The CNR noted that in Africa, in addition to fighting, the recruits will also be involved in mining minerals.
The Resistance also recalls that Wagner mercenaries were spotted in Africa as early as 2017. They justify their presence on the continent by claiming to "fight American influences."
"Russia is known for its constant wars in many countries around the world and for violating international humanitarian law, which does not allow the recruitment of local people into militant groups. Therefore, if you have information about violations of international law committed by the occupiers in the TOT, please share it with the anonymous chatbot at this link," the CNR added.
