The Russian army is not abandoning its attempts to take Bakhmut of the Donetsk region, where mostly mercenaries of the Wagner PMC are involved. The Russian Federation is losing large forces on this section of the front, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not hesitate to take advantage of the fact that the occupiers are "exhaling", as was the case, for example, near Kyiv and Kharkiv.
This was stated by the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, in Telegram.
"The aggressor does not give up hope of taking Bakhmut at any cost, regardless of the losses in manpower or equipment. The main forces of the Russian Federation in this direction are representatives of the Wagner PMC," he said.
According to Syrskyi, the occupiers, sparing nothing, are "losing significant strength and exhaling".
"Very soon we will take advantage of this opportunity, as we once did near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Balaklia and Kupyansk," said the general.
As reported, according to the British Ministry of Defense, the threat of encircling Bakhmut from the north to the south remains. However, the pressure on the city is weakening, and the Armed Forces are conducting counterattacks.
