Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that over the past year, the length of the front line has increased by 200 kilometers and now stretches approximately 1,200 km.

He made this statement during a meeting with journalists.

“As you know, over the past year, the length of the front line has increased by 200 km and now stands at around 1,200 km,” Syrskyi said.

He noted that Russia is preparing for a long war of attrition — which, according to him, is its main strategy.

“We are aware of our enemy’s capabilities. Over the past year, they have recruited around 440,000 contract soldiers — those who fight for money, for high pay and regional bonuses,” the Commander-in-Chief explained.

He also emphasized that Russia has a strategic reserve — “13 divisions, a number of regiments and brigades, totaling another 121,000 personnel.”

“They want to crush us with their manpower, to exhaust us through sheer mass,” Syrskyi added.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that 695,000 Russian troops are currently fighting on Ukrainian territory against the Defense Forces. In addition, around 52,000 Russian soldiers are concentrated in Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod regions, near the border with Ukraine.
