The Ukrainian company Compass Engineering has developed a new thermal imaging device with a screen to help detect Shaheds.

The company reported that they have already delivered the new equipment to the mobile fire teams of the State Border Guard Service, which are hunting down Russian loitering munitions.

"The latest solution allows detecting 'Shaheds' at a distance of up to 5 kilometers for an appropriate response," the company said.

The solution features an advanced thermal imaging device with a screen that can be used on any mobile or stationary platform as a targeting sight.

The implementation of this development is expected to enhance the effectiveness of neutralizing enemy targets and improve defensive capabilities. It has been reported that the system has already demonstrated good results in displaying information, sufficient control speed, and smooth position changes during rotation.

According to Mykola Lushchyk, Head of the Communications and Information Systems Department of the State Border Guard Service, such solutions represent another step forward in detecting enemy aerial targets, allowing mobile fire teams to detect and eliminate threats at greater distances.

"The mobile fire teams have noted the convenience of using this system," Mykola Lushchyk added.

The camera and monitor are mounted on a stand with a large-caliber machine gun, which is installed on a vehicle. The gunner can aim at the "Shahed" and see the Russian loitering munition on the monitor during nighttime.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have been developing solutions for the technological equipping of both individual Armed Forces brigades and the State Border Guard Service. Adapting our activity profile has allowed us to respond quickly to military requests and assist them in their current needs," the company stated.
