Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, participated in the Brave Hearts project and spoke about the role of intelligence data in the planning and implementation of operations by our Security and Defense Forces in the Black Sea, as well as the importance of successful maritime missions.

According to him, after the liberation of the so-called Boyko towers, the Russians lost the ability to conduct reconnaissance in the air, on water, and on land. Instead, Ukraine began actively using oil and gas platforms.

"Today, the towers are used directly. We won't tell you how, but it certainly narrowed the enemy's zone of influence and expanded the capabilities of our Security and Defense Forces, including the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, other components, and special services in conducting and implementing further successful operations in the Black Sea and, indeed, in the temporarily occupied Crimea," said Andrii Yusov.

Another important stage in the fight against Russia in the Black Sea was the de-occupation of Snake Island.

"After the island was captured, it seemed for some time that its liberation would be impossible: the enemy thoroughly fortified the island with personnel, firepower, electronic warfare systems, anti-aircraft missile systems, and means that threatened the Ukrainian coast to the south and could facilitate further actions [by Russia], including planning amphibious operations against Ukraine. And not only Ukraine. It also concerns the security of Moldova," noted Andrii Yusov.

All these plans of Moscow disappeared after the defeat of the Russians on Snake Island.

"The mendacious Russian propaganda calls this a 'gesture of goodwill,' but in reality, it is the result of an operation, painstaking work, serious planning, and indeed heroic deeds of Ukrainian defenders who liberated Snake Island," emphasized the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
