The Czech Republic is preparing to transfer a modern Earth observation satellite to Ukraine, capable of operating in any weather conditions and at any time of day.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the project highlights the high level of technological development of Czech companies while also demonstrating unwavering support for Ukraine.
“This demonstrates not only the technological excellence of Czech companies in one of the most demanding sectors but also our continued support for Ukraine,” the ministry stated.
The Czech Ministry of Transport clarified that the project will be launched in the coming months, with the satellite’s deployment expected within a year.
The Czech Republic will become the first country to provide Ukraine with assistance of this type, creating a unique precedent in space partnership among European nations.
Leading Czech companies with experience in developing small spacecraft are involved in the satellite’s design and production. Their technologies have already been used in international space missions.
